I work as a Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Toronto and am affiliated with the School of Public Policy and Governance as a Research Associate. My research focuses on elections and political behaviour, mostly in North America and Western Europe. At the University of Toronto I will be working on projects related to voting behaviour and elections in the Canadian context.
I completed my PhD at Oxford University (UK) under supervision of prof. Catherine de Vries. My PhD research focused on cross-pressured partisans in the US and explored the effects of partisanship on democratic accountability in light of economic conditions, political scandal and corruption. In the final year of my PhD I was one of the graduate scholars in US politics with the Rothermere American Institute (RAI). During my PhD I taught tutorials in European politics, US politics and Quantitative Methods. I also worked as a teaching assistant and graduate fellow for the Oxford Q-Step Centre and taught lab sessions for the course in introduction to statistics for first year undergraduates.
